Donations Welcomed
Check donations can be made out to Basic Needs Inc. of South Washington County. You can choose to make a one-time donation, recurring donation, or give from your company/organization.
A donation of any kind would be greatly appreciated and used to support the South Washington community. We have had donations through transferred stock, planned gifts, cars, or boats.

DONATING VEHICLES
Cars, Trucks, Rv’s & Boats
Be sure to use the Basic Needs Fed Tax ID (EIN): 41-1878604. 1-877-Charity Cars takes care of all of the paperwork, will tow/ pick up the vehicle, and donates 100% of the proceeds to Basic Needs. It assists you and at the same time supports the work that Basic Needs does to help those in need in St Paul Park, Cottage Grove, Newport, and surrounding communities.
We also welcome non-cash donations:
- Fresh or canned Food
- Hygiene items EX: Shampoo
- New and gently used clothing and housewares
- New school supplies (August), new toys, and holiday gifts (December)
- Flowers, catering services, and other event needs
- Printing of annual reports, signs, and other materials
- Photography, graphic design, and other pro-bono services
- New office supplies, furniture, and equipment
- Gift cards for staff and volunteer appreciation
