Basic Needs supports sustainable practices throughout our programs.

• In our thrift shop, we recycle clothing, shoes, books and electronics.

• In our food rescue program, we rescue good, quality food typically routed as waste to our free food pantries. When necessary, we turn to organic recycling for food loss.

• At our community garden, we use all organic gardening methods, and compost the weeds and waste to use on the gardens the following year.

• We are good stewards of all of our resources, ensuring we are serving the community responsibly.
