When you donate to the Basic Needs Thrift Shop, you benefit your community.

Donations stay in your community.

When you donate to Basic Needs, ALL of your donation and money earned STAYS in the local community to help those in need. Please donate items in workable, sellable, and useable condition. See below for what donation items can be accepted at the Thrift Shop.

ITEMS WE ACCEPT

CLOTHING: baby through adult 
ACCESSORIES: belts, hats, purses, wallets, handbags, metal jewelry
HOUSEHOLD ITEMS: antiques, frames, artwork, decorations, clocks, kitchenware, knick-knacks, curtains
SMALL APPLIANCES: vacuums, irons, coffee makers, toasters, griddles, sewing machines
BEDDING: blankets, sheets, quilts, bedspreads, throw pillows
ELECTRONICS: DVD players, blu ray players, DVDs, flat-screen TVs
BOOKS: novels, children’s books, non-fiction
OUTDOOR: lawn chairs, gardening tools, planters, seasonal
MISCELLANEOUS: handheld tools, sporting goods, pet stuff, kids toys, games, small stuffed animals

**We reserve the right not to accept items in unsellable condition or that we cannot store.

ITEMS WE DO NOT ACCEPT

CLOTHING: NO used underwear, used socks or medical items 
ACCESSORIES: NO luggage, plastic or rubber jewelry, kids play jewelry
HOUSEHOLD ITEMS: NO carpet, cabinets, fans, medical equipment, blinds, curtain rods, hardware
APPLIANCES: NO microwaves, space heaters, bread makers, popcorn machines, warming plates, or any large appliance
BEDDING: NO mattresses or pillows
ELECTRONICS: NO fax machines, speakers, VCR players, VHS tapes, computers, gaming consoles, CD players, antennas, copiers, stereos
BOOKS: NO textbooks, magazines, encyclopedias
OUTDOOR: NO grills, mowers, weed eaters, snow blowers
FURNITURE: NO furniture
MISCELLANEOUS: NO industrial tools, aquariums, hard drives, baby cribs, baby/child car seats, strollers, pack n plays, bikes, bowling balls, large exercise equipment

Donation Hours

Sundays, noon to 3 pm
Wednesdays 11 am to 5 pm
Saturdays 10 am to 3 pm
